President Donald Trump released two tariff letters on Saturday, imposing duties of 30% on products from Mexico and the European Union.

The EU will suspend retaliatory tariffs on U.S. goods scheduled to take effect Monday in hopes of reaching a trade deal with the Trump administration by the end of the month.

European leaders have been split on whether the bloc should press for a quick framework trade deal similar to the UK’s or keep negotiating in the hope of achieving a better outcome.
