A Hillsborough County sheriff’s deputy was killed Thursday in a crash in Thonotosassa, authorities said. The crash happened shortly before 8 a.m. on U.S. 301 south of McIntosh Road when the deputy, who was driving a Ford F-150, collided with a flatbed tractor-trailer, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
