The Dallas Stars looked dead in the water for the first 40 minutes of Game 1 of the Western Conference final against the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday. But in the final 20 minutes, the Stars unleashed a five-goal barrage for a 6-3 win to take a 1-0 series lead.

The puck drops Wednesday night in Dallas as the Stars and Edmonton Oilers will face off for the second straight year.

The Edmonton Oilers appeared to be in firm control of Game 1 of the Western Conference Final with a 3-1 advantage over the Dallas Stars entering the third period. However, a series of undisciplined penalties led to the Stars scoring three power play goals en route to a 6-3 comeback win to open the series.

The Dallas Stars came away with the win on Wednesday night over the Edmonton Oilers, but everyone suffered some bumps and bruises before they left the ice.
