Tottenham Hotspur emerged victorious against Liverpool in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semifinals taking a one goal advantage to Anfield. Liverpool failed to win for the second game in a row after drawing with Manchester United last weekend in the Premier League.

The Carabao Cup semi-finals are now well underway. A brilliant 2-0 away win by Newcastle United at Arsenal on Tuesday night, really lighting up the competition in the first leg of two in that tie. Goals from Isak and Gordon giving United a deserved win.
