The United States Geological Survey confirmed an earthquake occurred on Sunday morning in South Carolina. The magnitude 2.1 quake happened about five miles northeast of Parksville, South Carolina, which is in McCormick County, according to officials. Officials said the earthquake was reported at 6:53 a.m. on Sept. 1.
