A Polish general said early evidence points to the drone having a Chinese engine, and that it was likely "flying very low" to avoid radar.
Kamysz, Minister of National Defence of Poland, has confirmed that it was a Russian drone that crashed into a cornfield in Lublin Voivodeship on the night of 19-20 August, and said the violation of Polish airspace was another Russian provocation.
Poland has delivered a note of protest to the Russian Embassy in Warsaw after a drone exploded inside the NATO member's borders. A spokesman for Poland's Foreign Ministry said: "This afternoon, a note of protest was delivered to the Embassy of the Russian Federation regarding the events that took place in Osinie on the night of August 19-20,
