Justin Lower made an 11-foot eagle putt on the par-5 18th for a share of the lead Saturday in the World Wide Technology Championship with Nico Echavarria and Carson Young.

Cameron Young, one of the favorites at this week’s PGA Tour event in Mexico, has pulled out of the event. The tour announced Wednesday morning that the 2022 Rookie of the Year is no longer in the the field at the World Wide Technology Championship.

After a week off, the PGA Tour returns for the 2024 World Wide Technology Championship, which begins on Thursday. El Cardonal at Diamante in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, will host this event for the second straight year.

The last three events of the 2024 season will be contested over the next three weeks, and it begins Thursday at the World Wide Technology Championship in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. El Cardonal at Diamante, designed by Tiger Woods, is the host course, his first design to be used for a PGA Tour event.

Taylor Montgomery had a Hall of Famer caddie for half his round Thursday. With his dad needing to bow out after nine holes, former Major Leaguer Larry Walker picked up the bag and finished the day for Montgomery,
