The World Championship leader had a United States Grand Prix weekend to forget, struggling to find pace throughout any of the sessions.

Max Verstappen has dominated from pole position to claim his fifth grand prix win of the season, as Oscar Piastri's lead of the Formula 1 drivers' championship was trimmed for the fourth consecutive weekend.

Max Verstappen continued his late charge at the Formula 1 drivers' championship with a win at the United States Grand Prix on Sunday.

McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown claimed he was "glad to have the weekend behind us" after the United States Grand Prix ended with a P2 and P5 for Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, respectively. According to the American, Piastri "never really felt comfortable" in the car this weekend and lacked confidence in it.

Oscar Piastri made a surprise comment following the United States Grand Prix that will give further encouragement to Max Verstappen in the title race.
