NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO) — A No Kings protest was held in New Orleans Saturday, Oct. 18.
The protest, organized by Indivisible Baton Rouge, drew a crowd in the hundreds who lined the edge of BREC's Perkins Road Community Park armed with drums, signs, slogans, jokes and costumes.
In Monroe, from 1 pm-3 pm, Indivisible North Louisiana is partnering with Juneteenth UMOJA and Black Voters Matter to bring citizens a No Kings Rally and ‘Unity in the Community for Democracy’ prayer meeting. The rally will gather at Renwick Pedestrian Footbridge, MLK Jr. Drive & Renwick Street, Monroe, LA
