A 42-year-old Utah man has died after he fell while descending a mountainside in Glacier National Park in northwestern Montana.

Brian Astle, from Provo, Utah, was going down “a steep, off-trail climbing route” from Mount Gould’s west face when he fell, Glacier National Park said in a July 11 news release. The 9,557-foot Mount Gould is in the national park.
