West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey (R) has put several executive orders in place during his first days in office, including the removal of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) from state-funded programs,

On his second day in office, Gov. Patrick Morrisey issued a stack of executive orders that offer religious exemptions to school vaccinations, eliminate any diversity initiatives in state government and more.

Gov. Patrick Morrisey announced eight new executive orders on day one as the new West Virginia governor on Tuesday. He said he wants to hit the ground running to propel the state forward.

Gov. Patrick Morrisey wasted no time on his second day in office Tuesday by signing several executive orders, ranging from ordering a review of all state rules and regulations to banning state funding for DEI programs and allowing for religious exemptions for vaccines.
