Nathan Eovaldi tossed seven shutout innings, Marcus Semien and Josh Jung hit two-run home runs and the Texas Rangers beat the Detroit Tigers 6-1 on Sunday. Eovaldi (4-2) limited the Tigers to two hits and a walk while striking out seven in his fifth consecutive quality start.

The Tigers lost, 6-1, to the Texas Rangers for their first home series defeat in 2025, but they still have the AL's best record.

Skubal recorded those 12 strikeouts Friday thanks to an incredible 32 swings and misses. That's 32 swings and misses on 96 total pitches, so exactly one-third of his pitches were whiffs, and only 59 swings.
