Ottawa goaltender Linus Ullmark suddenly skated the entire length of the ice from his crease to the opposite end, tossing his blocker before entering the melee and certainly willing to fight their opponents. Referee Jordan Thomas-Samuels intervened quickly and removed Ullmark from the scrum.

The Capitals and their fans had a chance to celebrate the latter accomplishment, but goal No. 900 will have to wait. Washington was drubbed 7-1 by the Senators on Saturday night.
