Ettifaq, and a resurgence as captain of Ajax for a year, Jordan Henderson is looking to return to one of Europe's top five leagues according to Fabrizio Romano.

Former Liverpool and England centre-midfielder Jordan Henderson is reportedly set to leave Eredivisie giants Ajax as he’s ‘closing in’ on a transfer. The 34-year-old overcame adversity to surpass expectations at Liverpool as he became club captain en route to making 492 appearances for the Premier League giants in all competitions.

Jordan Henderson is in talks over a free transfer from Ajax to Monaco. The former Liverpool captain, 34, is understood to be keen to make the switch before Monday’s transfer deadline. Monaco are in the market for an experienced midfielder and want to sign Henderson, but are unwilling to pay a fee because of his age.
