OpenAI has started hiring in India as it looks to expand its presence in the fast-growing South Asian tech market.

OpenAI is setting up its first India office in New Delhi and has already begun hiring as part of its expansion in one of its largest user markets.

India is the second-largest market for OpenAI. The company has also established a local Indian entity and is hiring for new roles.

OpenAI is set to open its first India office in New Delhi by end of this calendar year, the company confirmed on Friday. This comes just weeks after the company unveiled its ChatGPT GO tier priced at ₹399 per month for Indian users, a satchet pricing move to expand its presence in India.
