Joe Highsmith entered a rare club of PGA Tour winners accomplishing a feat at the 2025 Cognizant Classic that had not been seen in nearly a decade.

Highsmith closed with weekend rounds of 64-64 on a toughening par-71 Champion course to claim his first PGA Tour title in unexpected fashion at PGA National.

Highsmith is the first player since Brandt Snedeker at the 2016 Farmers Insurance Open to make a cut on the number and go onto win a tournament. It's the ninth time such a comeback has occurred on the PGA Tour in the last 50 years.
