Soccer fans were left baffled after President Donald Trump crashed English club Chelsea's trophy lift at the Fifa Club World Cup final on Sunday. The president joined the London side on the field as they celebrated a 3-0 victory over France's Paris Saint-Germain at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium.

Cole Palmer was surprised to find U.S. President Donald Trump on the stand as Chelsea received the Club World Cup trophy after a 3-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain.

Many are concerned next year’s tournament hosted by North America will be marred by Trump’s efforts to close the border.

After handing out the medals to the winners and runners-up, Trump and Infantino strode up to the Blues’ squad with the all-new Club World Cup trophy in hand. James was the recipient, and Infantino encouraged the U.S. President to walk off stage.
