Unfortunately, the original voice behind Gribble isn't here to see the show's return. Voice actor Johnny Hardwick died in August 2023 at his home in Austin.

Toby Huss voices Dale Gribble in the last four episodes of King of the Hill season 14, taking over the mantle from the late Johnny Hardwick. He joins the rest of the voice cast, which includes Mike Judge as Hank Hill and Boomhauer, Kathy Najimy as Peggy Hill, and Pamela Adlon as Bobby Hill.

For 13 seasons, the animated sitcom "King of the Hill" fostered a loyal fan base. More than 15 years later, the sitcom returns with a modern voice.
