"Hollywood Squares" is back for a new generation. The gameshow, which originally aired in 1966 and has seen several reboots since is back with a new center square: Drew Barrymore. Executive producer Jesse Collins told TheWrap he wanted to bring back the game show for years,

We are here to pay homage to those that have come before us and take this show into the future,' says Barrymore, who was first inspired to reboot the game show during the pandemic.

Nate Burleson hosts the latest version of the game show, which has been on the air in various iterations since 1966.

Some Hollywood Squares viewers expressed disapproval of the rebooted game show. It officially premiered on Thursday. It features the classic format: a nine-by-nine grid of large squares that creates a giant tic-tac-toe board.
