Premier Danielle Smith says her focus will be on repairing the destruction she says Ottawa has caused to Alberta as calls for separation from Canada grow louder.During a news conference Tuesday, Smith said she will appoint a new negotiation panel to advocate for the province and push the federal government to repeal legislation harmful to Alberta's economy.

Danielle Smith said she personally does not support the province leaving Canada and expressed hope of a "path forward" for a strong and sovereign Alberta within a united Canada.
