V of K-pop sensation BTS has thrown the ceremonial first pitch at a Los Angeles Dodgers game. He met with two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani before taking the mound on Monday night.

V's appearance came before the Dodgers faced the Cincinnati Reds. It featured a brief hug with two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani in the Dodgers' dugout, where the K-pop icon -- dressed in a No. 7 Dodgers jersey tucked into faded jeans -- chatted with pitcher Tyler Glasnow as photographers swarmed.

When news of V’s first pitch was announced by the Dodgers, fans crashed the team’s website for tickets. StubHub even reported on Aug. 18 that ticket sales jumped five times overnight on their website after the announcement, “making the Dodgers the #1 most searched MLB team this week.”
