Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp joined other Georgia leaders Friday morning to give an update on treacherous road conditions and resources on hand.

In the noon update, GDOT spokesperson Natalie Dale says crews are out in full force to combat the impacts of the winter storm. She says millions of gallons of brine were applied to area roads. They have shifted to plowing routes,

GDOT snow plows were on the road pretreating roads with brine. A GDOT spokesperson says road conditions have begun to deteriorate as the winter storm moves through quicker than expected.
