After serving as Gov. Ron DeSantis chief of staff, it was made official Monday during a ceremony at the Old Capitol.

Desantis appointed the previous Attorney General, Ashley Moody, to replace Marco Rubio in the Senate in January, which led him to choose his Chief of Staff, James Uthmeier, to take Moody’s place once she was sworn in on Capitol Hill.
