Three people were arrested following a mass shooting at a nightclub in the Texas Panhandle that police say might've stemmed from an earlier altercation

"The motive here is inexcusable. ... Ugly, impulsive violence and something that we should not accept as a community," Chief Birkenfeld said.

People were gathered in the entrance to a nightclub in Amarillo when a vehicle pulled up at about 2:05 a.m. on Jan. 26 and a gunman exited the vehicle, opening fire into a large crowd with a rifle, the Amarillo Police Department said in a statement.
