Enjoyed the tour. We toured the castle and the gardens. We did the self-guided, which you could do with your phone. To tour a castle built that long ago and is still in use was great!! The Wedgew… Full review by JACNM83

More of an old house than a castle really. It has some great artwork but you really only tour about a 1/3 if the interior and there are better exterior buildings right in the neighborhood. Full review by davec818

I think this is correct, I had the same problem myself. I ended up doing a self guided tour, they give visitors a booklet which I think provided plenty of information

At opening hour. If you don’t have a ticket, go at opening hour and purchase one. You should be able to join the tour then.

Google parking lots near me. We walked and used the Green Hop and Hop Off Bus and walked in town. It's in a commercial area with lots of restaurants so there has to be parking nearby.

We did not buy in advance and had no problem with lines to buy tickets. There were no crowds in the castle. We went in the early afternoon.
