We enjoyed the house tour. Wish we would have had more time in the museum. There was a lot of Civil War history. Now I want to read the book Jefferson Davis wrote when he lived there.Full review by Helen E
I last visited in 1989. It was very reverent. Now I hear there is a zoo or something. How much of the reverent side is still included? Are the library and museum restored yet? Is it required that I go on a tour?

We didn't see a zoo. The grounds are different now. Several buildings were destroyed in the hurricane but the library is bigger now. The gift shop is also bigger. The main house with the museum and the residence home is still there to tour. Beautiful!
